Get Involved

Your time is
also Sadaqah.

Not everyone is in a position to give money. Skills and hours count for just as much, and we have specific roles open right now that somebody needs to fill.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “The best of people are those who are most beneficial to people.” (Al-Mu'jam al-Awsat). Jabal Foundation runs on volunteers: board members who keep Zakat whole, a field coordinator who knows recipients by name, teachers who hand over their evenings. There is room for you.

What we expect from volunteers

We are a small team, so each role carries more weight here than it would at a larger organization. Nobody expects you to be perfect. What we ask is that you speak up early when something goes wrong.

Show up

Honor your commitments. If your circumstances change, tell us early.

Be honest

If something isn't working, say so. We would rather know than wonder.

Think long-term

Our programs are built to last, so we'd rather have you for a year than a weekend.

Don't see your fit?

Tell us what you bring.

What we need changes as the programs grow. Send us your skills and your availability; there may be something open that never made it onto this page.
